Darshan Raval Biography
Darshan Rawal is an Indian Singer who was born and brought up in Ahmedabad city of Gujarat. He has enrolled himself for a Bachelors in Performing Arts Before coming into the limelight Darshan, participated in the singing reality show “India’s Raw Star” a show which was managed by YoYo Honey Singh and he was the 1st runner up.
Family
Darshan’s Father is a Writer and Mother is a Homemaker.
Career
Darshan’s first public appearance was in the reality television show “India’s Raw Star” from which he became famous. During the show, his songs like Tera Zikr and Meri Pehli Mohabbat caught a lot of attention and 13 million views on YouTube respectively. Popular music artist Himesh Reshammiya saw his talent and decided to give him a break in Salman Khan’s movie Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
He composed his first song in the same year in which he participated in the show, “Pehli Mohabbat” which turned out to be a big hit.

The true-blue Amdavadi, who was one of the top contenders for Ahmedabad Times Fresh Face in 2012 during his engineering days at LJIET, sure knows how to live life king-size. His popularity knew no bounds when he participated in India’s Raw star – and since then there’s been no looking back for the singer-composer.
Dip Zip Band
With an aim of giving the meaningless words a meaning, they decided to name the band “DZB’’ interesting about them is how they met at a music store in Vastrapur, Ahmedabad. • Darshan Raval – Frontman, Lead Vocalist. • Raj Boriwala – Makes the right notes on the keys • Chinmay Roy – Plays Bongo.
The youthfulness in these three exude is proof of their age, and the way they love their music, proof of their passion. They pose, pull funny faces, interact, chat, and do what they love doing “Jamming”.
They chose what they loved the most and none of them including their parents regret their decision. From their first performance at a new café in 2012 to multi-city acts, they have come a long way in the past year.
‘For the first one and a half year years we build ourselves into a core team, practicing trying to see what we lacked as a team and also what we did well. Then we set the ship in 2012’.says Raj.
Ask them to define music and each one has a different definition, it is a passion that threads them together. For raj music is his soul mate, for Chinmay it is a need while for Darshan music is what he loves and sees around.
