Anu Malik Biography
Anwar Sardar Malik a.k.a Anu Malik was born on November 2,1960 is an Indian music director and singer who composes music in Bollywood industry. He got his training from his father, Sardar Malik who himself was a music composer.
Anu Malik is married to Anju Malik his wife and has two daughters Ada Malik and Anmol Malik. He has two brothers- Abu Malik who is also a Music director and Daboo Malik who is a Singer.
Career
Anu Malik is known for his versatility in music. Anu Malik has composed music in various styles of films. Anu Malik also wrote many songs which later became quite popular. He started his first production of music in1977 through the film Hunterwali 77.
Anu Malik has composed music for many other popular films, such as Shaan, Ganga Jamuna Saraswati, Mard, and Mujrim, His some of the popular songs he sang for these films are Juli Juli for Mard and Jeete hai Shaan se was his another hit song in the 80’s. After this, he gave music in many superhit films of Hindi cinema
Big Bollywood Break
After his debut in Hunterwali 77, he had to wait for 16years to get his Bollywood break, he finally had his Bollywood break in the film, Baazigar which was the year 1993.
He received numerous applaud from the audience and love from public because he already made impression in people’s mind with music direction in Baazigar.
After the music in Baazigar was loved by the audience Anu Malik became very famous and his music was loved by the people and they started expecting more music from him. So a star was on roll to create non mainstream music in Bollywood industry.

Television
Malik remained one of the judges on the TV show Indian Idol throughout each season till it ended. In the first two seasons, he was accompanied by Sonu Nigam and Farah Khan, and in the third by Alisha Chinai, Udit Narayan and Javed Akhtar.
He appeared on Indian Idol 4 with Sonali Bendre, Kailash Kher and Javed Akhtar. After that, he appeared as a judge with Sunidhi Chauhan and Salim Merchant in Indian Idol 5.
He has also judged another show called “Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega”
Singing Career
Malik has his own different style of singing and composing a song. He has a unique style of processing words in his own style which is very much unique.
Although we have man main stream singers in Bollywood. Malik is a different singer. His music always gives us a unique style to experience.
That’s why he keeps his music very clear and doesn’t sing much. That’s why he has a different style of singing unlike other mainstream and romantic song singers. Although he is not a mainstream singer, Malik does playback singing for his compositions.
Written off as a singer in his early days “Julie Julie“, Ek Garam Chai Ki Pyaali ho, Gori Gori.
While he sings entire songs for some movies, especially those starring Sunil Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar and Shahid Kapoor in Deewane Huye Paagal he sang almost every song), and has also sung as part of a chorus in “Mehbooba Mehbooba” in the film Ajnabee, and “Tumse Milke Dilka Jo Haal” for Main Hoon Na.
